The Shari'ah Supervisory Committee of the Bank plays a vital role in framing and exerting policy for strict adherence of Shari'ah principles in the Bank. As per Islamic Banking Guideline circulated by Bangladesh Bank, the Board of Directors may form an independent Shariah Supervisory Committee (SSC) with experienced and knowledgeable persons in Islamic Jurisprudence for Shariah Compliant Islamic Banking. Trust Bank Shari'ah Supervisory Committee is represented by 3 members consisting of prominent Ulama having adequate knowledge in Fiqhul Moamalat. The Shari'ah Supervisory Committee of TBL gives opinions and guidelines to implement and comply of Shari'ah principles in all activities of the Bank particularly in the modes of investment.

Mufti Abu Bakar Siddique Nabil, CSAA is a distinguished Shari’ah scholar, researcher, and Islamic finance professional with extensive experience in Shari’ah governance, advisory, and research. He currently serves as Researcher and Shari’ah Consultant at IFA Consultancy Ltd. He obtained his Master’s degree in Islamic Studies from University of Dhaka and completed the specialized Al-Takhassus Fil Fiqh Wal Ifta program from Jamia Rabbania Arabia. He also earned the Fazil degree from Noyatola A.U.N Kamil Madrasah.
As a Certified Shari’ah Advisor and Auditor (CSAA), Mufti Nabil plays an active role in strengthening Shari’ah governance within Bangladesh’s financial sector. He serves as a Member of the Shari’ah Supervisory Committees of Eastern Bank PLC, Modhumoti Bank PLC and Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation. Through his scholarly and professional engagements, he contributes to the development of Shari’ah-compliant financial practices and the advancement of Islamic finance in Bangladesh.

Professor Dr. Muhammad Tazammol Hoque is a distinguished academic, researcher, and Shari’ah governance expert in Bangladesh. He currently serves as a Professor in the Department of Islamic Studies at Jagannath University, where he has been actively engaged in teaching, research, and academic leadership.
Dr. Hoque earned his Ph.D. from the University of Dhaka with a dissertation entitled The Historical Locations Cited in the Qur’an and Hadith. He also completed both his M.A. and B.A. (Honours) in Islamic Studies from the same university with notable academic distinction. In addition, he holds the internationally recognized Certified Shari’ah Advisor and Auditor (CSAA) qualification awarded by the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI), Bahrain.
Beyond academia, Dr. Hoque has extensive experience in the field of Islamic finance and Shari’ah governance. He previously served as a Member of the Shari’ah Supervisory Committee of Premier Bank PLC and AB Bank PLC. He currently serves as a member of the Shari’ah Supervisory Committee of Dhaka Bank PLC and Standard Islami Bank PLC, contributing to the development and implementation of Shari’ah-compliant banking practices in Bangladesh. He is also a member of the Bangladesh AAOIFI Fellows Forum.
His areas of research and scholarly interest include Qur’anic geography, Tafsir (Qur’anic exegesis), Hadith studies, Sirah (Prophetic biography), Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh), and contemporary Islamic finance. Through his teaching, research, publications, and professional engagements, Dr. Hoque continues to contribute significantly to the advancement of Islamic scholarship and the promotion of ethical and Shari’ah-compliant financial practices.

Dr. Muhammad Saifullah is a renowned teacher and Islamic scholar appointed in Bangladesh by the Royal Saudi Arabian Ministry of Da'wah, Guidance and Islamic Affairs.
He earned his Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD degrees in Islamic Law (Shariah) from Islamic University of Madinah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, graduating with distinction.
He currently serves as Professor of Islamic Studies at Hamdard University Bangladesh and as an Adjunct Faculty member at Daffodil International University. Previously, he served as Associate Professor at Asian University of Bangladesh and taught at International Islamic University Chittagong.
Dr. Saifullah has extensive experience in Islamic banking and finance and has held leadership positions on the Shariah Supervisory Committees of several leading financial institutions in Bangladesh. He is also the Executive Director of Fiqh Academy Bangladesh, Chairman of the Saudi Universities Alumni Association Bangladesh, and a well-known Mufti and Islamic scholar featured on television programs, including "Apnar Jiggasa" on NTV. He currently serves as Chairman of the Shariah Supervisory Committee of Meghna Bank PLC.
A prolific author, translator, and researcher, he has published numerous books and scholarly works in Arabic and Bengali on Islamic jurisprudence, Aqidah, Zakat, Islamic banking, Da'wah, and contemporary Islamic issues.
Through his academic, research, media, and advisory roles, Dr. Muhammad Saifullah continues to make significant contributions to Islamic scholarship, higher education, and the advancement of Shariah-compliant financial practices in Bangladesh and beyond.
